It's all about...... Christmas!!!!!

Well now I'm sure everyone is in the Christmas spirit now, and beleive me I will send you some of the snow we have if your not there yet lol! My home inside and out is all about Christmas, as is most of my time. Between shopping, Christmas crafts with my daughter, parties, gatherings, baking, wrapping and all the other holiday traditions. This has got to be my favorite time a year, for so many reasons. Most of all is getting to see family and friends that we don't get to see often enough. Since my 31/2 daughter came along this time of year has brought on a whole new meaning. Everything from writing letters to santa, sleigh rides, to leaving cookies and milk out on Christmas eve. The joys and smiles it brings to her face is what makes this time of year special for me. Forget the presents ( although she wouldn't like that lol ) it's that warm feeling you get when you see someone truly happy!

We are truly blessed to have a large family, and many amazing friends that we share the holidays with for that I am truly grateful. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

Holloween

Every year around this time I get excited for the spooky holiday, not for myself but for my 3 year old daughter. This year we waited a little longer to get her costume because she changes her mind so often. First it was a witch, than a bunny, than a kitty cat ( should mention we just got a kitten ). Go to look for a kitty cat costume all they have is a sexy type of kitty cat costume, not the furry fluffy type. So we asked her what would you like to be? She says a witch, which was so easy to find thank goodness. Her list of holloween costumes she's had so far are a red hot chilly pepper ( it was so cute she was only 6 months old), fairy princess( was the trend that year), and last year a pirate ( which was one of my favorites). I looked forward to all these holidays just a little more now because of my daughter and it truly brings back the kid in me. I wonder if she'll share some of that candy with me this year?

Cold season!

Well cold season is in full swing, and in our house we are now coping with the second big cold bug of the season. My poor 2year old daughter is now suffering through her second head and chest cold. It bothers me so much to see my child so sick and in ways makes me feel helpless. You sooth them, provide as much comfort as you can and still they are left on their own to battle through it. As a little trooper that she is she still manages to use her please and thank you's. Actually when she's sick she seems to use them even more. Everyday I'm amazed by her and I'm now realizing that I will continue to amazed for the rest of my life!

Year 2009, and resolutions!

Welcome 2009, I greet you with a happy grin! Why? Well because this year I was smart I made no concrete resolution. I figured almost every year that has passed I've made resolution's and have failed them in some way or another. Than I felt bad because I didn't see them through, this year I avoided that so to speak. Instead of saying something like I'm gonna lose weight, eat healthier, or even exercise more, I just simply said I'm gonna try to make myself better. Very general no real commitments just to make myself better. Whether it be a better mom, take better care of my body, be a better friend, I know in some way over the course of this year I can make myself better. At least I hope I can, a whole year to better myself in some way shape or form should be easy to accomplished right? We shall see! Happy New Year!
